J Brande 55 edges GiantsOnly in inaugural ProperBowl game

The Giants crashed the party and only contestants who backed them did well in the inaugural ProperBowl.com contest.

While Vegas and offshore sportsbooks were absorbing their worst Super Bowl betting losses in history, contestants here are ProperBowl.com were playing and winning.

JBrande55 made 11 straight correct answers to start the contest and was right on 14 of the first 15 questions as he hung on to win the grand prize of a $1,500 Plasma TV!

And in picking those early answers, he was predicting the Giants to score first (+190 points), the first score to happen after the seven-minute mark (+165 points) and that the first scoring play would be a Giants field goal (+360 points).

He got five of the final eight questions wrong but he held on to win by just 10 points over the appropriately named GiantsOnly. He wins the second prize, a 32-inch Plasma TV or $750 credit towards a bigger one.

When the Giants won the race to 10 points (+360 points) behind Eli Manning’s methodical play and then scored first in the second half (+240 points), he had built an insurmountable lead.
