Just the Plax, ma’am: Burress predicts Super Bowl score

OK, so we have one answer anyway.

Just the Plax, ma’am: Burress predicts Super Bowl score

OK, so we have one answer anyway.

The Giants will win Super Bowl XLII 23-17. It must be true. Plaxico Burress said so.

While ProperBowl.com does not have a question among its 25 dealing with the final score, there is some research value we an assign to other questions now that Plax has revealed the final score.

Like Question No. 19 – will there be a successful two-point conversion? While that score leaves open the possibility of a Yes answer (and +400 points), it’s far more likely that the Giants would have two touchdowns and three field goals (14 + 9 = 23) while New England would be held to an un-Patriot two scores and a field goal.

No two-point conversions in there, probably a wise bet to stick with ‘No’ and the +100 points.

It also eliminates one possible answer in the Race to 10 points Super Bowl prop question (the Giants are worth +360 points, the Patriots favored at +105 points and the 10 points won’t be scored option is worth +1000 points). Since there are 40 points in this game, option No. 3 is not gonna happen.

If only Burress could have provided more insights into the prediction, such as, “I will score the first touchdown.” In that case, we could safely answer Team to Score First (Giants +190 points), First Scoring Play (Giants +350 points) and Player to Score First TD will have Odd-Number jersey (Burress is No. 17 and that answer is good for +100 points).

Since we already figure that the NFC will win the coin toss (making it 11 in a row in the Super Bowl), it gives us yet another answer as contestants try to claim the top prizes – and bragging rights – here at ProperBowl.com.

All this would make Burress a likely candidate for Super Bowl MVP honors, where Tom Brady currently lead at 1/2 odds while Plax sits at 8/1 in Super Bowl MVP odds.
