Just the Plax, ma’am: Burress predicts Super Bowl score
January 31, 2008 - 3:54pmOK, so we have one answer anyway.

The ‘how’ is a matter of strategy, luck and research.
The ‘why’ is simple – because it adds so much to the big game.

So if you are not a huge fan of either team and don’t really care too much about the final score, you can still have plenty to cheer about if you have made predictions on the coin toss, who will score the first points, which team will get more rushing yards etc etc.
ProperBowl.com presents a list of 25 questions and invites you submit your answers. Some are yes-no propositions: will the coin toss be heads or tails?
If you are correct, you get a point. Maybe 2 points or 20 points depending on the question and your answer.
Some questions will ask you to predict a total of number points scored in the first half by giving you ranges to select from.
For example, you might have a point breakdown as follows:
How many points will be scored in the first half?
0 100 points
1-3 75 points
4-9 50 points
10-17 40 points
18-24 25 points
25-35 20 points
36+ 50 points
So, you can see that the most unlikely answers earn the most points. Do you play it safe and predict a sensible 25-35 point range to make sure you get your 20 contest points or do you take a chance on a low-scoring half in hopes of getting a big lead on the competition?
The game plan is to secure as many contest points as possible. Some of the answers are pure guesses. Others you will be able to search on player data or team breakdowns to make an educated guess.
